New York City - To provide much needed and urgent relief in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy for small business communities located in Zones 1 - 6. 

Detroit- To provide much needed and urgent relief in the aftermath of its Bankruptcy - the largest in U.S. history - for small business communities located throughout Motown's metro area.

South Florida - To provide relief to underserved small business communities in Broward and Miami-Dade County areas.             

To promote our most valuable economic stimulator - the small business community - by bringing together the best in the public and private sectors in order to provide RAPID, RELIABLE and AFFORDABLE*access to vital capital resources for those communities that need it the most.

*Resources such as loans, lines and credit are private market transactions between the lender and the borrower with all terms, conditions, and rates being determined by lender and accepted by borrower. ACT will never charge or collect from any small business a finders fee, service charge, etc. before being fully funded.

Launching ACT for Small Business was supposed to be a short-term commitment to assist my immediate community but it has now become a long-term mission. I'm so fortunate to be able to impact the lives of others, all while teaming up with some of the most passionate and driven local business leaders in the community.

timeline

2011 - Greg Aguirre from U.S. Capital Source, conducts a small business listening tour in collaboration with multiple local chambers and local elected officials. 'ACT for South Florida' is launched after tour findings determine that many in the South Florida business community are still reeling 6 years later from Hurricane Wilma, Katrina.

2012 - 'ACT  for NYC' is launched to provide quick solutions after Superstorm Sandy devastates the small business community.    

2013 - 'ACT for Detroit' is launched to asisst the small business community recover from the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history.
